If Josh is Jamie's love of her life, then Lauren is her soulmate. You know how it goes - the clouds part, birds chirp, champagne flows freely (and often, in our case) and all is right in the world when you meet that person. I think maybe everyone reading this has experienced that feeling when they meet Lauren for the first time, I'm just lucky enough to have known her first.
She is the Thelma to my Louise, the Rachel to my Monica (or vice versa, perhaps some argument there over who is Monica). The woman is seemingly unstoppable, a positive burst of energy into every situation that is only amplified to the best version of itself by having Lauren there. That's how it is with her friendship too - you are amplified to your best version when she's around making you feel like a million bucks. Her ability to simultaneously navigate between being the life of the party to subtly giving advice by really listening and analyzing is unprecedented. She's exuberant, motivated, caring, and a willing accomplice on our next crazy adventure (off-roading in Hawaii or getting totally decked out for random sports events) and latest planning scheme (emphasis on planning - my social calendar is somehow put to shame by hers).
We've been Pinterest planning our weddings and bridesmaid roles for the last decade, and fate was a very willing accomplice in making those boards come true and having her for my right-hand woman. I wouldn't be where I am today without Lauren, and my future is far brighter because of her as well.
